EGR VALVE COOLER – BRAND NEW – OEM Part as fitted at the factory
This part is located under the bonnet at the front of the engine. The EGR valve bolts to the side of this unit, a pipe comes out of the other side and runs to manifold around back of engine. This part commonly fails, the lever on the unit seizes up due to excessive carbon build up within the unit, this will result in the engine running hot, this can result in further damage of internal engine components. The fault is sometimes cause the Injection warning light to be illuminated.
This is the latest type of EGR cooler as supplied by the dealers, see list below of superseded part numbers.
Over the years Renault have improved the unit to help stop this fault occurring.
